Micromagnetics is based on the finite element method, dividing magnetic materials up into many discrete elements and modelling their interactions to build up a physical model of sub micrometer magnetic phenomena. The methodology was first developed in 1963 to analyse antiparallel domain wall structures. Increases in computational power have made its use ubiquitous across numerous industries, particularly hard disk drives.
We have 10+ years experience in this field, using our own micromagnetics software coded by Gino Hrkac during his doctoral studies.
